No bake chewy granola bars, easy to whip up together, and sweetened with maple syrup, almond butter and brown rice syrup.
The hardest part of this recipe is waiting for it to set in the refrigerator, and washing the sauce pan because brown rice syrup is so sticky. Its so sticky that every time I use it, I think about how I dont want this to end up in my hair, because I am sure I would have to shave it. I say this every time I open the jar. Maybe this happened to me in a past life. Anyway, these bars are amazing!!!!
Since these bars are sticky, when storing, make sure to wrap them individually, or place a parchment paper between each granola bar so they do not touch.
I tried this recipe with different nuts and seeds, and if you are allergic, of course substitute as needed, but otherwise, I wouldn’t change a thing! I would recommend try the recipe first, then maybe try different combinations. I feel like I got everything just right, so do yourself a favor and try this version first! Its filled with healthy things, and bit of chocolate and maple syrup to make it a bit more fun! I honestly just cannot get enough of these!!!!
These granola bars are so satisfying, and also very high in calories so you can definitely decide to slice more than 8 bars to make the portions sizes smaller. This recipe is freezer friendly, and the bars will last at least 10 days in the fridge if not more.
You could definitely make these for a larger crowd, and if you need to double, triple the recipe, you can just use a bigger pan. Always make sure to line with parchment paper though, because the mixture will set to the pan if you don’t.
This recipe will be awesome for road trips!!! I will definitely make them for those occasions where snacks are needed! Also, I like having individually wrapped granola bars in my freezer, and these bars are perfect for a snack on the go. They are not crumbly at all, they hold together well. So well in fact, that you can slice them neatly which is extremely satisfying.
